Summary
Octalect does not collect personal information. The app has no user accounts, no third-party analytics, and no advertising SDKs. Quiz progress and preferences are stored on your device.
Information we don't collect
- No name, email address, or other personal identifiers
- No usage analytics or telemetry sent to our servers
- No advertising identifiers
- No location data
Information stored on your device
Octalect stores the following locally on your device and does not transmit it to us:
- Your quiz history, scores, streaks, and rank
- Your preferences, including notification settings and subscription state
This information is deleted when you delete the app.
Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription, that transaction is processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. We receive anonymous subscription status through Apple's StoreKit framework so the app can unlock paid features.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
Push notifications
Notifications are optional. If you enable them, the app uses Apple Push Notification service to deliver reminders. We do not send marketing notifications and we do not track notification delivery.
Children's privacy
Octalect is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
